The value of vRtrIfIpv6NbrLimit specifies the maximum number of IPv6 neighbor entries that can be learned on an IP interface. The tmnxVRtrIpv6NbrThresholdExceeded notification is sent when the number of entries exceeds a percentage of this limit as specified by vRtrIfIpv6NbrThreshold. When the number of neighbor entries exceeds vRtrIfIpv6NbrLimit, then a tmnxVRtrIpv6NbrLmt notification is sent and no new entries are learned until an entry expires. When the value of vRtrIfIpv6NbrLimit is set to '0', dynamic neighbor learning is disabled and no dynamic neighbor entries are learned. When the value of vRtrIfIpv6NbrLimit is set to '-1', dynamic neighbor limits are disabled and the maximum number of dynamic neighbor entries can be learned.
