aluExtTmnxMDAVoiceCompandingLaw is applicable only when the 'isVoice' bit in tmnxMDACapabilities is set. This object is 'notApplicable' for SCADA MDAs, such as the ISC, whose aluExtTmnxMDACapabilityMode is 'modeA' (ie. MDDB). aluExtTmnxMDAVoiceCompandingLaw configures all interfaces of a voice MDA for A-Law or Mu-Law companding. To change aluExtTmnxMDAVoiceCompandingLaw, all voice ports must be shutdown and channels must not exist. Changing aluExtTmnxMDAVoiceCompandingLaw results in defaulting of aluExtTmnxMDAVoiceSignalingType, aluVoicePortTable objects and signaling-related aluScadaVcbTable objects.
