This object specifies a time to live value. In case of ping, by default TTL value will be 255. If the user sets a particular value, then that TTL will be set and carried in the echo packets. When performing connectivity verification to an intermediate node, this object must be set to an appropriate TTL value needed to reach the intermediate node. In case of traceroute, the TTL value will be incrementally incremented by 1 in its echo requests (TTL=1,2,3,4..) to discover the downstream mapping of each successive hop until it reaches the configured maximum hop count. By default the maximum hop count is 30.
