[CAUSE] The sapAtmPppNcpFailure notification indicates that there is a NCP phase setup problem. The problem is described in the object sapNotifyReason. The PPP user name is specified in the sapNotifyName. [EFFECT] The IP protocol cannot be configured for the user that attempted to set up the PPP session. [RECOVERY] Depending on the reason indicated by sapNotifyReason, corrective action may be necessary. However, it is possible that the failure is caused by the user's equipment configuration or by erroneous input by the user.
