The number of best paths to advertise to this peer as additional paths for this AFI/SAFI. The number of candidate paths available to advertise to the peer depends on the value of the bgpRmAfiSafiAddPathBestN field. This field specifies how many of the candidate paths to advertise to this peer. For the default value of 1 only the best path for each destination is advertised. A value of 2 is sufficient to advertise the best path and 2nd best path for each destination. Any additional paths are advertised to peers subject to split horizon rules, export policy, and BGP ADD-PATH capability negotiation. These filters apply after selecting the best N paths to advertise, so the actual number of paths advertised may be smaller. The peer may be configured to ignore this field and instead obtain the value from a peer-group as explained in the table description. Changing the value of this field while the peer is active triggers DC-BGP to advertise additional paths according to the new configuration.
