The time to hold peers in this peer group in Idle state after a BGP session has progressed beyond Idle state initially and then returned to it. No new connections will be initiated or accepted until the peer comes out of Idle state. By setting this field to a large value, this timer can be used to provide some level of peer oscillation damping, if desired. This field can be changed at any time. However, if a peer is configured to use the peer group field and the field is changed while the peer is active, depending on the setting of the bgpPeergrResetPeerOnCfgChange field, the peer session may either be immediately reset, or the configuration change is not applied until the peer session is restarted.
