This object specifies whether this route is an internal or external route. Value 0 represent routes are internal to the routing domain and Value > 0 represent routes are external to the routing domain. For routes learnt through dynamic routing protocol, this object derives its value from the packet. For routes which are statically configured, this object should be configured. The higher order 2 bytes refers to the tag value and the lower order 2 byter refers to the next-hop AS number.
