The following average value for the capacitance Cabk of the measured cable can be assumed: Cabk = 0.083(Cae + Cbe). If the measured capacitance is Cab > Cabk + 50 nF for ADSL&VDSL, or Cab > Cabk + 100 nF for SHDSL, respectively, It can be assumed that a terminal device with a significant self-capacitance is connected to the line. The cable-factor 0.083 is determined by hwLoopLineTestSysConfigCableFactor.
