This is a control variable. It is written by an external management entity. Changes take effect as soon as practical in the implementation. The object represents the MAC address adoption strategy that shall be employed by the radio interface operating in non-AP station mode. 1 - The radio interface shall adopt the first external MAC address that is received at the associated Ethernet port of the device, after the option becomes effective during operation. While the device has not received an external MAC address, the radio interface will operate using the MAC address specified in the ifPhysAddress object of the associated Ethernet port. This mode is only available on devices, which support this feature. 2 - The radio interface shall adopt the MAC address that is specified in the snMspsWlanMacAddrConfigAddress object. 3 - The radio interface shall adopt the MAC address that is specified in the ifPhysAddress object of the associated Ethernet port. 4 - The radio interface operates with the MAC address that is specified in the ifPhysAddress object of the associated Ethernet port and forward incoming packets to the destination MAC addresses via Layer 2 tunnel. 5 - The radio interface operates automatically either in 'Own'(3) or in 'Layer 2 Tunnel'(4) mode. This mode is only available on devices, which support this feature.
