This is a control variable. It is written by an external management entity. The object specifies whether configuration changes shalle be committed to the SME automatically, or whether changed settings shall be retained until a commit to the SME is explicitly requested by the management entity. 1 - Changes are propagated to the SME automatically once they occur in the configuration database. However an agent implementation may chose to implement a short time interval in which further changes are collected as to reduce the amount of reconfigurations applied to the WLAN interfaces. 2 - Changes in the configartion database will not be committed to the SME unless the management entity request so by writing a value of startCommit(2) to the snMspsWlanSystemCommitSettings object. The object is intended to give a management entity full control over the point of time when WLAN settings shall become active that possibly may disrupt connectivity between wireless stations and networks.
