This MIB module defines the Multicast MIB objects. Multicast refers to the point-to-multipoint communication in which the multicast source sends the information to a certain subset of all the network nodes. Controllable multicast allows an access device to determine if a user has the authority to watch programs by identifying the user request packets. In this way, the access device controls and forwards the multicast services.
